"The GPA calculator is really convenient -it's like a personal grade tracker and agenda too. I MyEdu-ed before to find and rate my professors but this takes it to a whole new level. I like how it already has the grade scale, chart and formula to calculate my GPA for me. Pretty cool guys!"

Most schools use a four point grading scale (a GPA on a scale from 0.0 to a 4.0), but some vary on what grade makes an A. Some use an A, B, C, D, E/F scale, and others use a scale that includes A+, A, A-, B+, etc. Grade point average is calculated by multiplying the values of the class by credit hours, and then dividing the total by the sum of all credits. Most collges account for weight based on credit hours.
| Grade | Percentage | GPA |
|---|---|---|
| A | 90-100 | 3.5-4.0 |
| B | 80-89 | 2.5-3.49 |
| C | 70-79 | 1.5-2.49 |
| D | 60-69 | 1.0-1.49 |
| E / F | 0-59 | 0.0-0.99 |
For example, if you took four classes for a total of 11 credit hours and made an A, B+, B- and a C, to calculate your GPA, the GPA formula would look like this:
GPA Formula: ((3 X 4.0)+(4 x 3.3)+(3 x 2.7)+(1 x 2.0))/11 = 3.209
That's a lot of work! Instead of using a GPA calculator in Excel, or keeping track of your grade point average by doing all those calculations, just plug in your tests and assignments into our GPA Calculator and let us do the work for you!
You'll never have to ask yourself, 'What grade do I need to get on my final to get an A?' Don't bother with GPA conversion or GPA formulas - simply select whether the class uses a percentage-based or points-based grade scale.
